Sheila is one of the many children that are a part of the Echoes of Mercy Program that reaches out to impoverished and orphaned children. Touch the World partners with Echoes of Mercy to help care for these children. Moses Omondi is the founder and director of Echoes of Mercy.

Sheila is the third born in a family of six. They are being raised by their single father who is diabetic and due to inadequate medication, has to stay at home. This is a great challenge for him. Sheila misses her mother so much and this has affected her academics. Her father is constantly in and out of hospital and it becomes very difficult for him to sustain his family. Therefore, the family is languishing in poverty and pain. They sleep hungry and the lack of food makes Sheila’s father’s condition even worse.
